Interesting tall French oak trumeau, overmantle mirror or pier glass c.1920. Shapely solid oak frame with crisply carved and pierced detail at the top and moulded front. Particularly attractive painted panel of a shepherd and his sheep below trees in autumn leaf. Painted in a striking graphic, almost poster like, style on an oak board and signed L.Mears in the lower right hand corner. Over a 36 x 42 mirror with shaped and bevelled edge. Presented as found in very good condition.
