Material: Porcelain
Data: C20th,1960s Antiques
This lovely wall mirror was made by the German porcelain firm Schierholz & Sohn and is marked with the blue maker’s stamp on the edge. The mirror is in the antique style, but we believe it to date from the second half of the twentieth century. It has a shaped decorative porcelain surround with floral decoration and features two small putti / children, both playing musical instruments. It is hand-painted. The mirror is backed with wood and is designed to hang on the wall – it retains its hanging hook at the top of the back panel.
Condition Overall in very good condition with some light wear. It a little grubby. There are some manufacturing flaws as might be expected. There is a small chip to the edge of one of the rose petals at the top.
The approx. dimensions are as follows
45cm high by 37cm wide.
