This is an elegant Regency gilt wood girandole wall mirror with charming deer crest. The mirror is a substantial and imposing size and the piece has a charming ‘Country house ‘aged antique appearance to the original gilt finish. The convex mirror, circa 1795, is set within a reeded ebonised slip and has a deep spiral twist frame and acanthus leaf carving under, holding the two scrolling arms and lacquered brass sconces. The mirror is surmounted by a delightful gilt wood stag crest which still retains its original antlers. The decorative mirror is a good size, measuring 36 inches high by 24 inches wide.
