This is a grand Regency period pier glass mirror in good condition dating from around 1820.
The clean mirror plate is mounted within a reeded slip between beautiful spiral acanthus-decorated columns. The pediment with breakfront frieze is boldly decorated with acanthus leaves and anthemion scrolls.
The gilding has a good rich antique colour.
The mirror is an imposing size at 103cm high by 72cm by 14cm deep.
