Data: Regency ,Regency Antiques
This is a smart Regency period pier glass mirror of good scale dating from around 1830. The mirror has its original gilt finish and mercury plate. The gessoed detail is quite fine to the reeded pillasters at the top and the inverse crest has wonderful gilded ball decoration. The central frieze has a hand painted watercolour panel depicting a winter scene. The piece is an unusual size, of good scale so has a great impact in a room when hung. The measurements are 61 cms by 110 cms overall.
