This is a good 19th century French repousse brass marginal mirror in excellent order with a central bevelled glass plate. The highly decorative brass frame is beautifully embellished with ornate scrollwork and the large crest has a fabulous twin dolphin design with a marvellous central flower filled urn, The brass has a great antique colour and the mirror glass is original in remarkably clean condition.
The outer marginal mirrors have a very pleasing three dimensional effect created by the canted deign that steps forward and back from the piece giving many faceted reflections
A very imposing and decorative example dating from around 1860.

This measure 133 cms high by 67 cms wide to the extremities.
