This is a good large antique chinoiserie pier glass in the Queen Anne style dating from the early 20th century, circa 1900. The mirror is decorated with figures in landscape in the Chinese chinoiserie style with an overall black enamel ground and has hand gilded highlights. There are some historical losses to the raised decoration and the figures which just forms part of the character and charm of the piece. The mirror has a good antique colour and patination and is substantial in size measuring by 112 cms high by 50 cms wide.
