Circa 1830, George II style carved and gilded pier mirror. The top of the mirror is surmounted by a carved gilded face, surrounded by foliate and Rococo carving. On either side are two mythical birds clasping the foliate carving. From these come a further foliate carving which continue down the sides. The central mirror is contained in a stylish moulded frame and is separated by a carved gilded section. There is an unusual border of bevelled edge mirrors made in several sections, varying in size and shape. The mirror has a pine panelled back.
Size 201cm high x 82cm wide.
