Period: Late 19th Century Antiques
This is a beautiful early 20th century giltwood pier glass mirror dating from around 1900 in the George III style. The carved giltwood frame has its original water gilded finish that is in superb condition with a very nice antique gilding that is attractively rubbed in some areas.
The mirror has a typical shell crest design with elegant corner scroll detail and acanthus leaf moulding. This has its original plate glass in good clean condition and its original backing. The mirror is a very useful size measuring 98 cms high by 60 cms wide.
