Material: Gilt
Period: Regency Antiques
This very decorative 19th century French mirror has a most attractive design and retains its beautiful original gilding. The mirror frame has great detail, with shell motifs to the corners and a fine crest with a pair of birds rising above a floral garland and a flaming torch and quiver of arrows. The mirror dates from the late Regency period, circa 1830 and remarkably has all of the original gilded gesso detail intact and in beautiful order. The mirror glass is the original 3/8 plate in excellent clean condition and it has its original backboards.
The mirror measures 89 cms by 57 cms overall, to the extremities of the frame.
