This is a most impressive 19th century Giltwood Mirror of great size and in super condition dating from around 1870. The imposing frame is decorated with gilt gesso lotus and harebell swags surmounted centrally by shield cartouche and a large scrolling crest of laurels. The base is flanked by very decorative acanthus scrolls on a rosewood base. The large mirror plate is the original mercury glass in excellent order.
